Slater

Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 November 2026 · Last updated: 1 November 2026

1. What these terms cover

These terms govern this informational website and the Slater application. Slater is a private, single-user, self-hosted AI assistant operated by Darryl Dawkins (“the operator”). It is not offered to the public, has no user accounts, and provides no service to third parties.

2. No service to third parties

Nothing on this site is an offer to provide services, software, or support. Access to the assistant itself is limited to the operator. This site is provided solely to describe the application and its data practices.

3. Acceptable use of this site

You may read and link to this site. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, probe for vulnerabilities without written permission, interfere with availability, or use the site to distribute malware or unlawful content.

4. Third-party services

Slater can connect to Google services at the operator’s direction. Those services are governed by their own terms — for Google, the Google Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy. Nothing in these terms modifies your agreement with Google.

5. Availability and changes

The assistant and this site are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may change, break, or be withdrawn at any time without notice.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be relied on for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from use of or inability to use this site or the assistant.

8. Intellectual property

Site text and design are © 2026 Darryl Dawkins. Third-party names and marks, including Google and Google Calendar, belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification.

9. Privacy

Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
